LSU and Alabama fans pitched tents, flew banners and cooked up Deep South staples like gumbo and barbecue in what had turned into a massive party ahead of Monday night's BCS national championship game. As the sun started to set outside the Superdome, the streets filled with fans trying to score last-minute tickets for the big game.
